Rebecca Silver
As a certified life coach, behavioral-mental health consultant and case manager, Rebecca brings a unique blend of expertise and life experiences to empower teens and adults to navigate life's obstacles and confidently achieve their goals. Her skills in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Parent Management Training (PMT) buttress a tailored approach to each individual in care. Having had the privilege to work at the Galynker Family Center for Bipolar Disorder and the Mount Sinai Suicide Research and Prevention Lab in New York City- both under the mentorship of renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Igor Galynker, she is well versed in differential diagnosis and the treatment of individuals experiencing extreme life changes due to injury or disease.
Prior to this work, Rebecca worked for top talent agencies in Los Angeles, followed by a career in NYC managing visual artists and curating art shows. These arenas exposed her to many people who live and work “out of the box” and their unique successes reinforced her belief in human potential. The catalyst for Rebecca’s transition to coaching was a personal journey marked by a family member's struggle with mental health issues. She openly shares her story and is a beacon of support for individuals seeking guidance and inspiration worldwide. Her genuine passion for helping others to heal has led her to promote two evidence-informed distinct paths to recovery: firstly, she assists parents and care partners in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges with compassion and understanding, leading them to become effective supporters of their loved ones’s recovery from TBI; and secondly, she is dedicated to guiding individuals to engineer healthy behaviors in the service of unlocking their full potential.
Rebecca actively collaborates with Birthright Excel, Parents in Action (NYC), and the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS), participating in school-based panels promoting family-centered mental health.
